61  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: A nice way to finish the back of an embroidery hoop. on: June 05, 2011 01:38:46 AM
the fabric you used as the backing is super cute and really adds something to the finished product. thanks for the tute, as i am new to the world of needle-working (but absolutely obsessed with it so far!)...i need all the formal instruction, as i am prone to just winging it. Wink again, GREAT JOB!

64  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / 1970's necklace revamped and used again! on: June 05, 2011 01:13:52 AM
This is my very first time posting a project here on the almighty craftster.

I was just tickled pink how this turned out! Its a great beaded necklace from the 70's that belongs to my best friend's mom.The beads have signs of wear and so much character! They sort of look like little pebbles. Anyways, the necklace apparently broke, but she had kept it in hopes of fixing it one day. Enter: ME! I got a hold of it and harvested the beads to become this great multi-strand beachy cuteness. I had a great time with this vintage-y keepsake that is now a brand new piece to show off and most importantly, tell a story.
