1  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: mixed media robin on: January 27, 2013 11:07:33 PM
Oh very nicely done! I've never heard of watercolor crayons, but I must say this inspires me to investigate them further. I am always a fan of working under pressure to achieve crafty feats. Also always a fan of using old book pages....old books in general. Smiley
2  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Watercolor Portrait on: January 27, 2013 11:04:16 PM
Oh I really love this! I like the softness and volume of the hair. I also love the eyelashes and little smudges and dots of paint around the image. I've never tried watercolors. I may have to experiment soon! The only self-portrait I've ever attempted was for a employee art show at my old bookstore where I used only the contents of my cosmetic bag. My mom has it hanging in her hallway and apparently loves it.
3  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / NecroNancy Digital Illustration on: January 24, 2013 09:55:19 PM
Here's a little zombie housewife: NecroNancy. I digitally drew over the original sketch I scanned into my computer. Hope you like my warped sense of cuteness!

4  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Doctor Who Valentine on: January 24, 2013 09:51:10 PM
I found this vintage valentine with bowties in my stash and immediately thought it would better suit a Doctor Who reference rather than the original Father themed. Hope all you approve!

5  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: Weeping Angel Ornament (Doctor Who) on: September 21, 2012 10:59:05 PM
I love it! The weeping angels are quite frightening.

I totally agree- what an excellent story it tells, right? Thanks so much for commenting on my post- totally brightens my day. Cheesy

Thank you! I posted these a while ago, so nice to get some positive feedback on 'em!

i was beginning to worry I had accidentally offended the craftster gods...something I would never hope to do.

9  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Tiki Room Hoopla on: September 16, 2012 09:37:32 PM
Oh dear me! I love this hoop! Immediately made me think of my sweetheart who is a super crazy vintage Disney fanboy (a 6'5'' burly man, but a fanboy nonetheless...) lol He would so appreciate this as The Tiki Room is very near and dear to his heart.

I absolutely adore the colors and the stitching! Go you!

10  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Hope Hoop on: September 16, 2012 09:33:31 PM
Check out this cuteness I completed exclusively while waiting at my doctor's office for my prenatal appointments. I usually make hoops for gifts, but I'm actually keeping this one for myself- in my soon-to-be-arriving babe's nursery. I still have a month left of appointments, so now I need another portable project. Wink

What do you think o' panel of crafty experts? Cute, right?

Thanks for looking!
