Thanks!  General consensus pointed to using spray-on Scotch Guard.  I think I forgot to do that, however, before I gave it to my sister...oops!  next time, I will Scotch Guard it.

Very cool - I bet it's so soft and squishy under your toes!  It's a pretty big rug, too - it's incredible how much fabric and time is involved in making one.

Wow - it came together really well.  I think the cotton binding and all the attention to the quilting really makes it look fancier and more intentionally built than just your run-of-the-mill "what do I do with all these t-shirts" t-shirt quilt.  Nice job!
