1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Punk (ish) Bracelet Tute (link to video) on: March 24, 2011 09:22:42 PM
Hello! This is my first tute! I know that these are not the most perfect or the most spectacular thing you can make outta recycled materials (I used the bottom hem of some old shirts and some studs, buttons and safety pins) BUT what it lacks in spectacularness it makes up for by being really easy to make and really fun too! Just as a warning it's not going to be the most perfect stud bracelets in the world but that's a good thing since the punk style of clothing is a sort of worn out, imperfect, disheveled sorta thing going on. These are really fun to make and you can make them on a "rainy day" (or a sick day) and waste a little time.
Here's the video: http://www.youtube.com/user/MrHelloKinky?feature=mhum
Here's what they look like:

Hope y'all have fun with the tute! (or at least find it educational)
2  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Different types of presser feet ?!? Img. Heavy on: February 13, 2011 11:32:49 AM
Hi this is my very first post here on Crafster! I have been scanning the website for a few months and you guys (and gals) look like you know what your doing so maybe you can help me. So let me explain my dilemma. Okay so I have been sewing for a while (hand sewing) and sewing machines are totally foreign to me. My grandmother gave me her old Sears Kenmore machine about a week ago. I can sort of figure out how to work the machine (tips on working with it would be nice though) but my real problem i have is with the presser feet. My grandmother gave me a bunch of these really crazy transformer looking  presser feet. I tried doing some research online about different types of presser feet but none of the websites have the same ones that I do.

Here are the pictures of the presser feet(sorry for crappy quality):

and there's also some other random bits that might go with the other presser feet:

thanks so much for your help! I'm so sorry for my grammar, if the pictures don't load or if I put this in the wrong category. Thanks bye
