1  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / DOS Soap on: March 28, 2011 10:57:22 AM
Cheesy I got a dreaded orange spot in my soap! My Latest batch. Did a M&P bar in a 1/2" PVC Pipe for the orange. Oxides were used in both the M&P and the HP. Scent is Ocean Breeze from Candle Science.

2  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / TP Coozie on: March 22, 2011 08:24:26 AM
Ok.. I guess it fits best in this section. TP is in the Bathroom.

Here is a little pocket to hold TP. One reason is our Daughter likes to unroll and make the nice paper go on the floor in a pile.. or run a stream through the house...lol. The other reason is just being lazy and replace an empty roll easier.  Grin

3  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Ok you cold processers.. question on: March 20, 2011 08:45:38 AM
I just did my cold process attempt with the oxides and Dragons Blood. I took it to a lot lighter trace than I do for HP. Took out part into a Anchor Glass Measuring cup because I did not want it colored. Did the red oxide in the crock pot part, mixed and poured. Reached for the Measuring cup and went to pour...glop glop glop. The stuff went into a pudding stage.

Do I need to keep this part heated somehow too or do I need to do a really really light trace?

I went with it and may have fiddled to much with swirling. It's in the oven now so we will see tomorrow how it comes out.

I want to try a funnel pour with two colors so I need to keep things liquidy. Cant do that with HP.. grrrr...lol.

Maybe I should do a HP tutorial since I see these cp ones...lol.

4  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Last Nights Batch: Lavender Swirl on: March 13, 2011 12:08:50 PM
Hot Process Swirling.  Grin

5  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / A couple of soaps finished on: March 06, 2011 12:15:08 PM
These were from a couple of weeks ago. Vanilla Cinnamon Swirl and Tropical Kiss.

The Vanilla Cinnamon is my usual Hot Process and with real Cinnamon.

The Tropical Kiss was kind of a Cold Process accident. The FO started setting the mix to a hard trace extremely fast. The original coloring added was blue... which separated and turned Pink. It started hardening so quick I could not get it to swirl at all with the uncolored soap.

I like the HP method because I never had a problem with what I was making.. but can't do those lovely swirls like you Cp'ers  Grin

6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Safari Vest... I need a Pattern on: March 03, 2011 03:32:50 PM
I am looking for a Pattern of a Safari Vest or Fishing Vest for a guy. My main work is a Photographer so I though I would make a custom Photographers vest to carry my Lenses, Filters, Batteries and Memory Cards. So ... just make the Vest Shell and add whatever size pockets around it. Anyone know where I can find the pattern?
7  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Daughters new Summer Dress on: March 03, 2011 03:04:47 PM
I found this elastic threaded top material ready made at Hobby Lobby. I had to buy some for my 2 Y.O. Daughter. First time doing a zipper and had to shorten a 9" Zip I had on hand. Anyways.. heres the end result...

and the zipper work..

8  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / My Sleep Mask on: February 28, 2011 03:46:36 PM
I screwed around making a pattern for these. Trial and error (and waste..lol). I finally have a method that works for me. Now I have to go get more felt and elastic. 3 Layers..Front, Batting and then black felt. I used my one with the stripes last night...works great.

Need to make more post before I can add a Photo... so here is a link to the photo...
