11  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: A Few New Tops I made this week! Stripes - Paisley - Flowers.. pretty! on: August 09, 2008 11:52:43 AM
Wow, these are totally fabulous. I would definitely notice someone walking down the street wearing these. The lines are nice and simple and the construction and fabrics are complex enough to make the shirts super interesting/awesome.

I'm glad you went with this zipper, it's fantastic! And congrats on an awesome skirt, now I kind of want to make one.
13  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: To Write Love On Her Arms Memorial Quilt on: August 05, 2008 02:52:51 PM
This is both beautiful and moving. I've known a few of my friends go down the path of self-injury, and even though it was difficult for me and the rest of the people surrounding them, I can't imagine what they went through themselves.

Congratulations on finding closure for such a sad experience. And for contributing more crafty and cozy goodness to the planet!
14  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Convertable sleeve top ! (w/ pic-tute) Owls vs Cats on: August 05, 2008 02:48:52 PM
Cats for sure.

Cute top for sure as well. Wink

I'm definitely a fan of all of these, but I think the third dress is my favorite.  Smiley

Good job!

That's so beautiful! It would make a really nice scarf too. Wonderful details, this is awesome.
17  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Steampunk goggles + pinafore-ish skirt on: July 28, 2008 08:21:58 AM
At first I wasn't sure, but the more I look at it the more I prefer the pinafore with the straps. They add a little something to it. I suggest you sew on the straps with big bright buttons. That would be (in my opinion) super cool.

p.s. I love the fabric you chose. And those goggles are crazy. In a good way.
18  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Brown and white pleated skirt on: July 27, 2008 02:48:14 PM
This is very cool. It would have also been nice if the stripes were vertical instead of horizontal. they would make your legs seem miles long!
19  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: S3732 - shirt - are there dress codes for women???? on: July 27, 2008 02:42:28 PM
You know, my mom sometimes says things like that - that she can't wear certain clothes because she's over a certain age. And I scold her every time. If you like the shirt (and you should!) and it looks good on you (it does!), why wouldn't you wear it? There is no rule stating you must stop being fab once you've reached any age (I mean, think of Anna Wintour).
20  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Re: Shiny New Craftroom in Red and Turquoise!!! (Image Heavy) on: July 27, 2008 02:18:48 PM
So, I'm pretty sure I've decided that I would like to live in this room. And that one day I aspire to have a craft supplies collection as neatly put together as this one.

Go ahead and award yourself bonus points for being my crafty hero of the day (and your husband too!)

p.s. I agree with cookiemaker. Show us more when you can!
