17  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / 3 Keyhole Scarves (with pattern now) on: December 02, 2004 07:43:40 PM
very easy and fast to make!!!

Here is my feeble attempt at writing a basic pattern......

Size:   approx: 34" x 6 1/2"
Materials:  Green scarf  ww yarn and mohair
Others        Lion Brand Jiffy and sport yarn
Size L crochet hook

Holding 2 strands of yarn together, ch 16
Row 1:     Dc in 2nd ch from hook and in ea one across, ch 2, turn,(15dc)
Row2-3:    Dc in ea  dc across,  ch 2, turn    (15dc)
Row 4:      Dc in ea dc across,  ch 1 turn.
Row 5:      Sc in each dc across, ch 1, turn,
Row 6:      Sc in next 6 sc,  ch 3, skip 3 sc, sc in next 6 sc, ch 1, turn
Row 7:      Sc in each next 6 sc,  sc in each st of the ch 3,  sc in next 6 sc,  ch 1, turn
Row 8:      Sc in ea sc across, ch 2, turn
Row 9-30: Dc in each sc across,  ch 2 and turning ea row.
(last row,   end off!! weave in ends)
That's it!!  Any questions? ask away!!
This really is  very basic,  you can use any yarn you want, a different size hook,  mostly you just need that keyhole to slide the scarf thru. If you do use a smaller hook.... make your starting chain longer and your hole longer.

He wanted a heart this time  lol   http://www.marloscrochetcorner.com/heart%20coaster.html
