1  Little Pac-Man game, actually playable !!! in Halloween Costumes by k4tr1n4 on: November 08, 2011 08:26:45 PM
I wanted to start by apologizing for not having any pics with my 13 month old Zachary wearing this costume but I just don't believe in putting my children's photos on the internet !! I assure you he was cute in it, with his very blond hair and blue eyes and tendency to stick everything in his mouth, he actually does remind me of Pac-Man  Smiley

Ok. So first of all I bought a black t-shirt and black jogging pants to complete the outfit. I was inspired by those cool pac-man t-shirts you can buy everywhere.

I took a few screen shots from the game from over the years and took to the shirt with some fabric glue. I did it all freehand. Then I filled in the walls with blue fabric paint.

I then took some strips of auto-stick velcro and cut them up into little squares to make the little white pac-dots.
I also kept some of the opposite side of the velcro strips and painted the back black so that the pac-dots "disappear" after Pac-Man passes by.

Pac-man and his enemies, Blinky, Pinky, Inky and Clyde, are made from felt and are slightly stuffed. They have velcro on the back to stick to the pac-dots as they go by. (Special thanks to my sister Chellum, who helped out with these little critters!!)

So basically, Pac-man and the ghosts can really move around across the shirt just like in the game !!

2  Japanese Sisters nesting dolls in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by k4tr1n4 on: February 12, 2011 01:44:57 PM
Here is my first post ever !! My sister convinced me to put my stuff here Smiley

I actually have a small collection of nesting dolls from Russia and decide to try to make my own. This was my first attempt at painting with tempera. I think they turned out not too bad considering the fact that I didn't have any proper paint brushes for the detailing and that they were painted while I was breastfeeding!! After taking pictures, I wondered why I didn't make them each a different color... oh well...

I have a few more blank sets, I ordered them online, and will try at it again when I have time !!

Hope you guys enjoy !
