1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Gigantic polo to cute sleeveless top on: February 19, 2011 09:23:35 PM
So, I've had this huge polo shirt I got from 'youth in government' day when I was in high school for about ten years.  It was time something was done with it or else it was going to be gone.  I figured I'd make something up as I went along since I didn't like the thing anyway.  I think it turned out cute and I plan to try this design again on something in a better color/fabric

Here it is before (inside out so you can't see the chest logo)

Finished product!

Even with the folded over collar area, you could still see the logo through, so that's why I put the flower on.  I ripped apart an embellished hair thing to make it.  I really like the finished product.
2  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Fleece Dog Cloak on: February 15, 2011 07:39:49 PM
I made this cloak (I was calling it a coat at first, but it really looks more like a cloak) for my border terrier/golden mix who is about 16" tall.  It's been so cold this winter, plus he is from GA and we're in NY, that I wanted him to have a little extra warmth.

I used stuff I just had around: blue fleece left over from making some pants and tan ribbon because I didn't have any binding that was wide enough.  Nicky didn't like trying on the newpaper pattern when I was making sure it was right, but he seems okay with the cloak.
Oh, and the fleece is a single layer it closes with velcro.
