1  Black and Red Spirograph Skirt in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by ashabelle on: October 20, 2006 06:28:03 PM

This was made from a Burda World of Fashion pattern that I had to alter a lot because it was really long.
The fabric is vintage, and so are the buttons on the pockets.

2  Twilight Zone Shirt in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by ashabelle on: October 20, 2006 03:00:49 PM
I found this shirt super cheap at a garage sale this summer.
Added some more fabric and walla (sp?) It is done.

8  Burda Easy 9800 Toddler in Sewing Pattern Reviews by ashabelle on: March 28, 2006 04:49:51 PM
I am so thrilled with this pattern. It is super easy and fits over diaper butts. I honestly do not think pattern companies take that into consideration when drafting patterns for wee ones. I haven't tried the top yet, but will post pics when I do. These shorts run a little long, which I think is cute, they look like little surfer shorts. One is a truck patterned cotton and the other is a tan cordoroy.

9  McCall's 4872 in Sewing Pattern Reviews by ashabelle on: March 28, 2006 04:43:54 PM
This pattern was ok after some adjustments .I made the short sleeve shirt and it literally could have been a dress.Took about 8 inches off the bottom. I also had to shorten the sleeves.

One is made from modern fabric, and the other is vintage.

10  Laura Ingalls Wilder in Costumes: Completed Projects by ashabelle on: March 23, 2006 05:05:37 PM
I made this costume for my daughter. I used Simplicity 5042. I really should know better and have drafted my own pattern. It came out ok, but I think it would have been quicker if I had made my own pattern. She was thrilled and gets to wear it to school tommorrow so that is all that counts.
