1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Once upon a time it's been a curtain... on: January 10, 2007 04:13:55 PM
Wow... I couldn't imagine that fabric as a curtain, but it certainly makes a beautiful top! The pattern looks great on you!
2  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Completed Projects / Re: Ever wear through your jeans at the inside thigh? (ed to include happy ending) on: January 10, 2007 11:38:30 AM
Gah... this is how every pair of my jeans meets it's demise... I've been trying to figure ways to fix them up, being 24 and a mommy to be, cash is TIGHT. I like what you did with them, and like you say, if nothing else, they'd be great for bopping around the house!
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Scary Fairy & Spooky pencil skirt ! on: January 10, 2007 11:04:40 AM
How cute! I love it as the pencil skirt, but like it even more because you can wear it either way.
4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Re: Black branching fringe necklace on: December 29, 2006 02:35:37 PM
Man oh man this coral fringe takes forever. This is a big project for something this tedious, and it looks great! I made a bracelet like this years ago, and my hands nearly fell off Wink I love the peyote base you worked it off of, very pretty.
5  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: GODDESS SWAP GALLERY on: June 27, 2005 02:02:28 PM
Wow, looks great.

I've got a few little things to finish before I send, I can't wait!
6  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: Beauty Sercrets Here on: June 23, 2005 05:14:29 PM
Eeek, sorry, I have another question  Smiley

I've heard two opinions generally on styling hair: that you should put the styling product in BEFORE you straighten, and that you should only put it in AFTER you straighten. If you put the product in your hair before, do you risk it melting or something?  Huh

You should put most products in before you straighten. They make sprays that are specifically for protecting your hair when you fry... I mean straighten it. My poor sister ruined her hair by using a damn straightening iron on it every day without moisterizing enough, ended up having to cut about 6 inches off all the way around...
7  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: Beauty Sercrets Here on: June 13, 2005 05:00:22 PM
For dry hair, sometimes I make a hair mask out of vinegar and avocado in the blender and then I heat it up, put it in my hair, and wear a foil cap to keep the heat in. I leave it on for 15 min. and then rinse it out, and my hair gets really soft afterwards. My grandma used to wash my hair with vinegar when I was little, so this is just sort of a take on that.

What kind of vinegar do you use for this? White? Apple? Red? I love the smell of vinegar (I'm a wierdo) so I might have to try this.

Anyone know how to make super fluffy thick hair calm down in humidity? I love Texas... my hair hates Texas humidity...

Deamon - i was told tea and coffee did count but like you said lemonade etc doesn't but then that was in the case of dehydration

Not only is the caffiene bad for you, but it's infused into the water. It's no longer pure H2O, so it doesn't count. The Doc I spoke to this week (in reguards to my stepdad's eating habits) said that it absolutely doesn't count.

Eating ice is bad for your teeth. Also remember that tea, coffee, lemonaide, etc... does NOT count towards your 8 glasses a day, it has to be pure H2O. If you experiance bloating (like during your period) drink more water. Bloating is your body freaking out because it thinks you're loosing more water than you're taking in, so it begins to store the water in your body, if you increase the ammount of water you intake, your body will stop storing it.

More later...

I wish that squirrel were my pet too.... for now I have to live with the fox squirrels on the Texas A&M campus, with their cute little radio collars and chubby handfed cheeks... Always fun to follow around with remote car controllers during freshman orientation.  Wink
