after baby knocked down the lamp and the glass shade broke i had to make something new. so i made these flower petals and turned the lamp into a huge glowing flower.

ok, i am not so good at explaining things, but here goes!
*first, get your supplies ready

20 gage wire,
tissue paper (remember to save this when you get gifts!)
acrylic medium (modge podge or one of those other decoupage products "might" work- no guarantee)
and a crummy old paint brush (it might get ruined)
and wire cutters/needle-nosed pliers are handy
*next, bend the wire into the object of your desire!

*then, tear strips of the tissue paper- and put a glob of the acrylic medium on it and "paint" both sides and fold it over the wire frame.

do this with a bunch of strips until your wire frame is covered and there are no single layers of tissue left.
let it dry- make sure it cant get stuck to anything while its drying!!!!
*finally, hang in window with all your other junk, er um treasures!

ok, i know this is a little heart and not a lamp shade, BUT now that you know the way you can cover anything-even 3D wire forms this way.
i hope this helps. feel free to ask questions and if you make anything post pics! id love to see
