1  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / bulk barn type bins on: April 21, 2012 12:45:20 PM
I have recently moved and have found upstairs in the barn out back of my house a bunch 25+ plastic type bins similar to ones at bulk barn and similar places that sell food items in bulk.  They seem to be 8-10 inches square with a flip up lid.  I am wondering what in the world to do with these as I would hate to throw them away as they would make some great storage things but not sure how to goin them all together, cause if you stack them you can not open them ones underneath.  If you have any ideas on them let me know cause if I can't figure anything out that will work for them, they got to go. Thanks
2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / your name necklace on: November 23, 2011 03:38:54 PM
I have seen seveal stores that sell these and may actresses that wear them and I would live to make one for my neice for christmas,  I am just not sure on how to do it exactly.  I am guessing with a softer wire that can be flattened once the name has been made then I am not sure how to go about bending the wire. not sure if I should use a program to write it then print it out and work it from there or if there is an easier way.  also wondering how to attach it to a chain so she can wear it.  this is what I am talking about.

sorry bout the big pic, not sure how to resize it
3  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / cross stitch quilt question on: May 31, 2011 09:42:41 AM
i hope i posted this in the right place as it really covers 2 different topics

i am working on a lap quilt that i got in a kit from herrschners

http://www.herrschners.ca/Product/Families+Dont+Melt+Fleece+Blanket+Stamped+CrossStitch+Kit.aspx

i am getting to the point of finishing it soon and wondering about options of backing it.  I mean this is my first ever cross stitch ever and the back looks horrid.  I would like to cover it up with maybe another peice of fleece.  just wondering if this is something someone has done before and what pointers do i need.  also never quilted before but i don't really want to quilt it. thinking of tie-ing it at points to hold the 2 peiced together but if there is also another option I am game.

please help me figure this out
