i love this afghan.  I have completed 1 and have been eyeing up colors for number 2.  I love the idea of backing it.  Can you go into alittle more detail on exactly how you did it?  Thanks

are the same stitch. with very little veriation

this looks like to me the wrong side of a Bavarian afghan, it also goes by the name wheel stitch as well as wool eater and it takes alot of yarn to do it .

does it look the same on the other side?  i am assuming it is different my the looks of what you have shown.

centers to me look llike basic grannies but the sides that stand up look also like double/tripples.  I am assuming they are front post to help them stand up but it is hard to tell, would like to see the back of it though

this sounds very interesting, can't wait to see the final.  never heard of working it backwards

i've never quilted anything before so just to do the snowflakes I would have no idea where to start
