Oh my, Pinkleo, the House Unity Afghan rocks!!! I love all the different patterns you used! You are my hooking inspiration right now.

Pottermouth - that little bear is about the cutest thing I've ever seen. That is such a fun little novelty toy. I bet your kids love it!

Thanks everyone! Here's the links for patterns:

For the owl slippers I used this basic pattern. When you come to the part when you've finished the back of the slipper and are starting to stitch around the opening and working decreases around the toe part I only did the first round to make room for the owls.

The owl pattern is this owl granny pattern. I used a size E hook to make it small enough to fit in the slipper, making it like a makeshift tongue. And I used a dot of fabric paint for the eyes.

I didn't take a picture, but to attach the owl I flipped the slipper inside out and used stitch markers (thanks, Jennie!) to hold the owl in place then I attached the owl to the slipper by slip stitching through the back loops so when you flip it right side out the attached portions are not seen. I hope that makes sense.

Here's the pattern I used for the Ravenclaw Common Room Slippers:

And here's the pattern I used for the socks:

Hope that is helpful!

"I see myself holding a pair of thick, woolen socks." Harry stared. "One can never have enough socks," said Dumbledore. "Another Christmas has come and gone and I didn't get a single pair. People will insist on giving me books."/i]

I made this magnet for pottermouth in the OAHPT swap.  It's based on the above quote from Prof. Dumbledore in the Sorceror's Stone.
