I have to admit that normally I don't like novelty yarn scarfs, but this one is simply amazing. I'm going to have to get some of this yarn and try it. Great job!

Thanks for all the nice comments! I would like to take credit for the color choices, but that was the just the coating on the wires when I pulled them out.

Excellent, do you have a clasp or something on the back?

Right now I just have the wires wound into a cord in the back and just tie it, but eventually I will add a clasp. I was trying to think of using the network connector as a clasp, but I haven't gotten that to work yet.

That is very awesome. I have seen lots of projects made from grocery bags but none even compare to this. I love that umbrella!

Here is a choker that I made from the inner wires that are found in a standard network cable:

The process of getting at these wires was a little difficult. I first had to strip to outer coating off, and then wind the inner individual cables into "skeins".

These wires were very hard to knit with; it felt like I was using my hands more than the needles. I used a US 9 because it was the only non-wood needle I had I was afraid I would break any wood ones, but I think it worked out to be the perfect needle size anyway. The choker is just worked in stockinette stitch which doesn't curl because the wires are too stiff. I just knit one row of each individual color of wire to mimic the look of how the colors are arranged at the end of a network cable where the poke out and are visible.

I just did a gauge swatch with some Cascade 128 I had lying around. I got gauge perfectly with US11s. Now I just need to get my yarn which will be difficult since I just moved to a small town, but I will be starting soon.
