1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / bonnie by kim hargreaves on: December 06, 2007 11:39:17 AM
has anyone gotten 'heartfelt' by kim hargreaves yet?! you need to. i just got the book 2 days ago and i did the bonnie pattern.

i used yarn bee's sweet delight in sidewalk. the only mod i did was to knit in the round. i'm loving this hat. right now in texas it's cold in the mornings and then warms up by the afternoon. but with the lace i can still wear it even when it does get a little warmer!

this was such a quick knit. my gauge was a little different so i had to fudge around with the numbers to get it just right. but it was really easy to do that.

5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / flo by kim hargreaves on: November 25, 2007 10:40:23 AM
i finished this gorgeous sweater a couple months ago. but i'm loving this thing so much. i wear it all the time. and the pattern seems so versitile to me. like i want to make it into a pullover later. and i really like the ruffles for other stuff.

6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / a little late... on: November 25, 2007 10:37:12 AM
so i made my niece's holloween costume this year. it came out so dang cute. i'm still waiting for a pic from my sister though. she's pretty lazy with that sort of thing...you know, going to walmart and ordering pics can take a lot of time!

this is me modeling the lil' devil baby hat by kittyville.

and here are the lil devil pants from stitch n bitch naton. sorry, but i couldn't model these ones
7  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / mohair shawl from twinkle knits on: November 25, 2007 10:32:41 AM

this was such a fast knit! about two days. well technically 3 days but the middle day i didn't work on it. and i know that if i had one whole day to sit and knit then i totally would've had that puppy finished!
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / fo: cable and seed stitch jacket on: August 01, 2007 08:09:25 AM
i'm visiting my sister and family this week. my niece's  birthday was earlier this month, but since i knew i was going over there anyway, i decided to just hold on to her presents till i get there. i made her this jacket for the winter. it's a size too big, but she's still growing and they can always cuff the sleeves. it's a really pretty purple i think.

specs:

start: july 24th
end: august 1st
pattern: cable and seed stitch pattern from the baby knits book
needles: size 8
yarn: 2 skiens of caron simply soft in iris
mods: i did the whole thing in one piece up to the armholes. then i did a 3 needle bind off with the shoulders. i picked up the sleeve stitches and worked down, having to decrease to the wrists.
