5  Calls for Swap Angels / Swap Angel Archive / The Great Chainmaille Swap R2 - Angel Found on: September 21, 2012 01:40:45 PM
Needing an angel for Solitary Cricket, who was sadly flaked on for our Chainmaille swap.

Swap Name: The Great Chainmaille Swap R2
Discussion Thread: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=410932.0
Gallery: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=413604.0
Number of Angels Needed: One

This is a 4-point swap!

Solitary Cricket's Swapper Info:
Favorite colors? purple, teal, silver, black, brown
Least favorite colors? copper.  gold without other colors

Do you have any allergies or aversions? (Metal related ones are especially important to be noted) No allergies, but I won't wear things that make my skin change color.
If you do have metal allergies, how bad are they? (In some cases someone with slight allergies, things like aluminum, copper, surgical steel, etc are fine, but in other cases, people who are mega allergic may need niobium because it's hypoallergenic) n/a
Do you have any allergens at your home? cats, dog
Do you have any favorite metals? I love sterling silver. But really as long as its shiny I am happy. A little antiquing is ok too, just not too much.
Do you dislike any metals? copper.  gold without other colors

Is there anything specific you might like? I would like something wearable - even better if it would be a nice everyday kind of piece. And I like delicate things. Watches are cool, so is jewelry if any sort. Just talk to me about it =)
Is there anything you don't want? Anything large or bulky - I am a small person.

PM me to angel!

Details of swap:

Maybe you've seen it at a Renaissance fair with some dude wearing chainmaille armor, maybe you've seen some lady wandering around with some lovely scalemaille earrings or a byzantine bracelet, maybe you have absolutely no clue what I'm talking about but would like to try your hand at a new craft!

For The Great Chainmaille Swap, Round 2, we will be learning a new craft, or improving on one we already know. For this swap, you may use any combo of jump rings, beads/embellishments, wire, scales, etc. While doing a basic 1-1-1-1-1 is acceptable, it would be great if you took the time to learn at least one weave

This is a FOUR point swap, and we will have all summer to craft due to a mixture of people's schedules and also the fact that chainmaille usually takes a bit of time to pick up and get used to. Extras are allowed, but not required. If you want to do more than four points, I'd recommend talking to your partner to see if they want to do the same, but if you just want to spoil them, go for it.
