Made this for a medieval festival that I'm going to next week. It's my first time going and my first time sewing any kind of clothes... but the people I'm going with go every year and always dress up for it, so I figured I'd give it a try!
I opted for a pretty simple dress... It's made in blue linen and machine sewn, except for the lacing holes which I did by hand...

With light blue underneath (This picture shows the colour the best)


And with white, so I can change it up a little...

This is also for the Renaissance fair/Medieval festival that I'm going to in August...
Just a simple drawstring pouch in leather... I'm not sure how well it will go with my dress, but i love how the black and red looks together!

I'm going to a Renaissance fair/Medieval festival for a week in August... so I'm making a costume to wear. I'm going to make a blue linen dress...but I've been putting it off because I'm no good at sewing clothes and because I'm waiting for my friend to lend me her dress pattern first... Anyway the dress won't have any pockets, so I made a bag that I can wear on my belt...

It's my first time working with leather and I had a lot of fun with it!

I've started making a new pair of socks, but they're giving me some trouble... so I needed a break and wanted to do something fun and easy with instant gratification!

Someone on here (can't remember who) posted a link to the pattern for these frames a while ago (http://lolanovablog.blogspot.com/2010/10/mary-go-round-crochet-flower-ring.html) and I wanted to try it!

Super easy and so much fun! I was going to make one, but ended up making 4 of them cause I just couldn't stop

This is the first crochet project I ever started and the second one that I finish (I got sidetracked and made this http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=371827.0)

It took me a while, but now he is finally done!

When I decided I wanted to do an amigurumi I looked around for free patterns, but couldn't find anything that I really wanted to do... Eventually I found a picture of a bunny with teeth that I thought was cute... but I didn't have a pattern for it...so instead I sort of winged it! I borrowed bits and pieces from loads of different free patterns online, and some of it I made up as I went along...

When he was almost finished I felt something was missing, so I decided he needed antlers!









Thinking back it would have been so much easier to just follow one pattern, but I think I learned a lot this way!

There's definitely some mistakes on him, but I think I've managed to cover them up pretty nicely... and I'm super happy with the end result! 

Just some Christmas socks I made for my grandmother this year...



When I was about 12 we had to knit something in school... so I made a pair of socks for my dad... and apparently I make a quality product because he has had them for almost 15 years (or maybe he just didn't were them very often)
anyway... this year they had finally been worn out, so for Christmas he asked me if I could make him a new pair... I hadn't knitted anything at all since then, but I figured it'd be fun to learn it again...

so I made these for him:



kinda simple...but that's what he wanted... (they look kinda lumpy in that photo, but they looked better on)

They didn't take as long to complete as I had thought...so I still had some time left before Christmas, so I made another pair for my grandmother...
But this time I decided to do something with a pattern, because just making them in one colour got kinda boring after a while... She likes traditional Christmas patterns, so I made these for her... (pictured above)

I just learned how to knit before Christmas (making socks as Christmas presents) and when I was done with that I figured I wanted to teach myself how to crochet too...
I started making a Monty Python style bunny and it was going pretty well, but then I saw this http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=370219.0 here on craftster and got inspired...

My friends birthday is this week and she's mentioned to me before that she wants a Spike doll (from Buffy)... so I decided to put my other project aside for now and make her one!

Just like Anne11 I used a pattern from Crafty is cool http://www.etsy.com/shop/CraftyisCool (the Jimmy Kimmel one) and made a few changes to it...

So here is my first finished crochet project, I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out!
