1  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Discussion and Questions / Re: Help with math in pattern writing! on: September 10, 2012 06:32:52 PM
Thanks so much! It seems I have the math right then...With where I am now, I have 102 stitches in the current rnd.  So, I need to start gradually decreasing...Do I decrease 2 stitches or just one dec each time? I'm so sorry about asking this, I just want it to be perfect!

(Picture has nothing to do with it but I can tell people click posts that have pictures a lot more)
Hi! So, I'm crocheting something rather large and that I've never seen before so I thought I'd write out the pattern as I go...Well, I thought the math would be simpler once I got to the point I needed to change what I was doing but I was wrong...Lemme show you what I've done so far:
ch 3
sc 6 - 6
2sc in each - 12
sc 2sc -
sc2 2sc -
sc3 2sc -
sc4 2sc -
sc5 2sc -
sc6 2sc -
sc7 2sc -
sc8 2sc -
sc9 2sc -
sc10 2sc -
sc11 2sc -
sc12 2sc -
sc13 2sc -
sc14 2sc -
sc15 2sc -
sc round for 21 -
Okay, now I'm trying to figure out how it increases with each round...I've always been hopeless at math so I have no idea why I thought this would be any different! Can anyone help me get started with the next round by telling me how it goes? :/

Thank you! This is all for a commission from a guy I used to go to school with Smiley

Thank you! It was just recently that I learned I didn't have to continually like add a head and legs and stuff...Just to continue the previous thing...Its really helped when trying to keep things from falling off!
5  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Itsa me, Mario! on: August 26, 2012 02:33:35 PM

Finally finished Mario! The three Nintendo boys are done! Woo! And it took a week like I said, it wouldn’t have taken as long if I had not had my family emergency…

Also, my Bella felt the need to make sure they were up to “sniff” hehe

Thank you so much! He's one of my favorite Doctor Who characters!

Toad from Nintendo...He is actually all one piece! I had originally crocheted circles for the head but it was too odd looking. Thankfully, the stitching part was much easier! The face was a bit difficult but it seems to have come out finally.

Here are 2 of the 3, now is just Mario!
8  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Problematic Pachyderm on: August 20, 2012 12:20:17 AM
Very true...We couldn't even stretch the yarn enough to get it to fit! Oh well, I'll sell it in my etsy shop Smiley

I haven't crocheted a Doctor yet...I think the first one I do will be 8...He's my favorite Classic Doctor and rarely gets done sadly. I think he had so much more to give than that one half-American movie...

Thank you! Two hours of cutting small strands, dipping and pulling them through starch, letting them dry on two different napkins and then looping them into his head.  The effort was really worth it!
