Yep, it is.  I was just going to make it cake, but then I was worried it'd fall apart, since it had to lean at an angle.  I cut away a little of the cake and just left it in crumb form and mashed the tardis in place.  The doctor so loves to crash it, after all.

I had talked about doing an edible image on it, too, since there's a running joke about it, but I never got around to it.  I think the cake is better this way, less busy, but I think I'm doomed to have to make the other into a cake at some point:

Wanted to post the incredibly cool and easy birthday cake I made for my friends.  For the background, my writer's group is a bunch of geeks, and I like to make cakes.  So when one of my friends has a birthday, I get to get my geek on and make something awesome.  Steph turned 28, and requested Doctor Who.

The cool thing was that my phone is linked to FB, so I posted pictures along the way as I made it.  Sorry they're blurry, my cell phone camera is pretty lame.

So the first pic.  Let my FB friends decide what this was and they suggested Sponge Bob in a car, the Monolith from 2001, a Space Odyssey, and a tombstone in a graveyard.

Clearly, they were wrong.

Almost done, just a little more detail work needed.

Cookie jar in the background, full of awesome and win (and cat treats) but not nearly as much awesome and win as the cake itself!

And now it's time to blow out the candles.  That's Steph on the left, and Genia on the right - Genia's birthday was the week before, so I did a candle for both of them.

As for making the cake, the cake is 8.5x11 (I just used my glass pan.  No, it's not 9x13), buttercream frosting, and then I used a marshmallow for the top of the tardis and rice krispie treats.  I was worried that it would break if it were cake.
