1  Re: come one! come all! post pics of your tattoos! in Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects by StephInTheCity on: May 10, 2006 03:17:49 PM
Here's my most recent ink.  The close up makes it look distorted because I was all twisted around trying to take the pic.  It's hard to take pictures of your own back!  It's mottled looking because it's already starting to peel, and you can't really tell how vibrant the colors are either.  In the smaller one, you can see it better in relation to the stars across the top of my back.

Oh, PS--the top one was done in the mirror.  It's actually on my right shoulder blade.

Here's my latest and greatest--a roller skating voodoo doll done in February at the Philly convention.  I was there promoting for roller derby and couldn't resist adding to the collection.  It's an original design, drawn (and redrawn many times) to match my whims by a patient (and probably bored) artist.  It's on my right side and hurt worse than any of my others.

Here is a snap of what I sent shoegirl, since I finally managed to get the pics off my camera.

My package from Shoegirl was waiting for me when I got to the office this morning--what a lovely surprise.  She made me a very cool crochet scarf (rainbow, but not too rainbow... if there is such a thing) and a kickass totebag that I will be carrying to all my gay charity meetings from now on.  Thanks--I love them both!  I will take pics and post when I get home.

I just got my package from lauriemk and she sent such cool stuff.  I will post pics when I get home, but here's what she made for me:  a Capricorn mini tote bag, votive holders for each of my signs (Capricorn sun/ascendant and Mercury; Cancer moon) and an awesome photo album because a moon in Cancer means good memories.  All the collage items on the album relate to my signs.  Laurie definitely did some research.  I love it all!

Wow, am I the only one with pics so far?  Here is the great stuff that Violet sent me.

And here is the stuff I sent her, since I know she got it and I have the pics.

7  Quick & easy glasses case in Knitting: Completed Projects by StephInTheCity on: August 28, 2005 01:44:58 PM
I made this in a couple of hours for my grandmother's birthday.  The only reason it took that long was the sewing part--I was at the beach and so had to hand stitch the lining.  I remembered her birthday while I was on vacation, so this was very thrown together using whatever I could find on short notice.  I think it turned out pretty well, all things considered.  The black loop for the button is sort of icky, but I figured it would be easier for her to see than one made of the same yarn I knit with.

8  Candy wrapper rings in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by StephInTheCity on: August 28, 2005 01:33:05 PM
I was bored at the office and one of my coworkers brought a big jar of mini candy bars to a meeting.  Voila!

I got my package from abbyful yesterday, but my camera is on the fritz right now.  I'll post a pic later, but here is what she sent: a cute little purse with a sparrow painted on it, three nautical star hooks (that match my tattoo on my back and will be perfect for puppy leashes and such), a hair clip with a sparrow and nautical stars (and my hair is finally long enough that I need one now, so yay), a cool plastic bangle with painted skeletons, and some temporary tattoos.  Thank you!

Edited--got a pic now!

Here's my latest tattoo--a White Tara I got done this past weekend at the Philadelphia tattoo convention.
