1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / washer necklaces & more! *edit* new additions :) on: January 28, 2011 02:40:57 PM
hi yall  Smiley
ive been lurking (stalking) the site for a week or so and decided to join to show the stuff ive been inspired to make!
i usually just take apart stuff and make it into new stuff but this is my 1st time making stuff for jewelry so be kind please Grin

ok the 1st was my first attempt at a washer weaved necklace, plain washers, brown/tan/turq. striped ribbon
(http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=34722.0)

pretty simple, only problem im having is getting the ribbon the right length!

the 2nd piece is another washer necklace i reversed halfway, i took plain washers, stuck on scrapbook paper and topped with glossy accents
(http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=329854.0)

working on not leaving bubbles in the glossy  Undecided

the 3rd is just something i thought of while looking around my house, synthetic corks, beads from a old necklace, fishing line Smiley

please excuse the funny shaped ear hooks haha, i have gauged ears so in order to wear regular earrings i have found i can wear hollow plugs and bend my hooks like this and they sit right and stay in my ears, example:

and lastly my charm bracelet  Grin its made for valentines with pink white black and silver beads. the beads are all plastic water bottle beads (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=147089.0) or paper beads (http://www.paperbeadcrafts.com/) with the exception of the 2 small silver circles and the clear light pink beads teardrop and circle beads from another bracelet

and thats it for now. sorry to list so much just figured it was better than posting 4 new topics Smiley
comments and critisism/tips and encoraged, i was just kinda winging most of it so i know its not perfect!

***EDIT***
new bracelet and necklace made, will hopefully be adding at least 2 more tomorrow Smiley

Copper Washer Necklace
Coral & Aqua Ribbon, some copper washers my husband found me, and glossy accents so they dont turn my neck green Smiley
(sorry it didnt want to photograph well)

Black and White Charm Bracelet
All metal beads are just spacers from a old bracelet, all others are either paper beads made with scrapbook paper or plastic bottle beads Smiley

ill be back to add more tomorrow, waiting on some glossy accents to dry and i need sleep haha

***EDIT 2***
since these are so close together i dont know if i should flood the board with new ones so im going to keep editing Smiley

these are the ones i finished today, i have one more im working on but my husband is sanding and painting them for me tomorrow and i wont have alot of time to work on it the next few days so check for it in a couple days  Grin
