i am obsessed with your stash of ribbon.

simple and very lush-looking. so pretty!

little mixed media collaged valentines from watercolor paper, leftover scrap fabric, copper brads, ribbon, and felt. they're about 3"x4".

i washed over the back of them with diluted acrylic paint for a little added color before i write messages on them. valentiney!

my boy lives closeby, but with conflicting schedules and other circumstances i'm only able to stay with him a couple nights a week, if i'm lucky.

so, for valentine's day, i got him a new pillow and used iron-on transfers on a pillowcase to cuddle on nights i'm not there. kept it fairly simple. all of the images are from use of the transfers, even the handwriting, which is from digital pictures of my own handwriting.

the top left corner is for him. he's ex-navy (my sailor <3) - the banner along the side says "domain of neptunus rex," which is a naval induction of sailors when their vessel crosses the equator.

the bottom right corner is for me, with the claddagh and the two magpies.
