here are a few objects i've made for Annabelle, my little bichon rescue.
she likes to sneak out of the apartment into the parking lot, so this is her equivalent of an orange construction vest. made from leftover lion's brand thick -n-quick from when i retaught myself to knit.
since hurricane season is about to start up, i made Annabelle a new tropical print rain
jacket. i based the shape on the sweater, and used $1/yard water repellant fabric from wal-mart for the top, and fleece for the lining. so far, it's worked - although she still doesn't want to be outside when it's raining; guess i need to make her a matching hat.
Anna has really bad food allergies, and always chomps herself raw in response. our apartment complex also has a few stray cats, one of whom loves Anna a bit too much and gave her fleas, to which she is also highly allergic... so i had to shave her down to nothing, and discovered that she had been chewing herself raw again. to keep her from chomping on her paws, i decided to make a little puppy hug... it took maybe an hour to knit up and finish. i've tried making her booties and legwarmers, but she's always managed to take them off; i'm hoping that she won't be able to get these off as easily.
