<Big sigh> All finished, well for the first round at least! I just need to get to the post office tomorrow. Smiley Peace reigns in my living room now. Why does it take me as long to write the accompanying letter as it does to finish the item?

Well, as it seems de rigeur, I'd better post my teaser photo, dutifully washed out an horrendously out of focus:

If it looks like something you'd like, you'd better wish hard.....
If it looks like something you'd hate, you'd better wish harder!

Arrghh! I only got back home an hour ago! I'm clearly massively behind already. I will have to pull my finger out tomorrow. If I try today, then all it means is that I'll have to spend my first hour tomorrow undoing what I did today: too tired, I've got brain fade Sad

Seeing as I won't have finished my first swap by the time the sign-ups finish I'd better sign up here instead for the frugal living swap Wink

I will create 2 mediums and one small  Smiley

Yes, I seem to be getting earlier and earlier! But this time it's not impatience, it's because I'm going places where I may not have internet for 4 days.

Ok. I lied. I am impatient, but I'm sure there'll be a lovely message waiting for me tomorrow morning. I may even get up extra early to get it, and given that I am a terrible slug-a-bed and I already have to get up earlier than I normally would, that it significant indeed.
4877  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: yarn needles - where do they go? on: March 11, 2011 06:44:20 AM
Apparently they travel though a wormhole in time and space to my place. I've just found an entire packet I didn't know I had.

Not surprisingly I had just purchased another packet as my last, very abused, needle broke it's eye last week.

Required weekly post, actually a day early 'cos I'm really full of anticipa........... ................... ..tion.

I so looking forward to getting allocated a partner. Is there anything I can be doing in the meantime? I can't follow  everyone who has signed up, but I wonder, can the oldtimers <cheeky grin> recommend some preparation for us newbies?

Ah, yes: cultural difference. A mate in colloquial british english is friend, usually a same sex friend but not always. It may be different in american english.
