I can't give much advice, but this looks AWESOME!

Oh so cool!
I'd love to try this when I have the time.
3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Let's Go on Safari! Giraffe Bag on: January 25, 2011 08:34:19 PM
Just decided to finish a bag shell tonight. Cut out a strap, sewed it up, and attached it on!
I found this giraffe fabric in a baby section of Hobby Lobby, along with the soft flannel. It's soft, cute, cuddly, and most important to me, sturdy!

Sorry for the lousy iPhone pictures. I find I get better pics on it than with my digital camera. (Weird huh?)

Smiley Cute wallet, love the fabric.

Thanks! I'm SO glad to have found it. It was in a discount bin for about 3.25 a yard!

Denim needles or leather needles work really well for heavy interfacing. I made a big a** tote bag with heavy interfacing and piping and used a denim needle. Sewed just fine!
Oh really? Here I was thinking I'd need a WHOLE new machine for industrial fabrics or something.
Sounds like a cheaper, more agreeable solution. Thanks!

Fun!  You might try a heavier needle next time!  Thick interfacing can be a struggle!

I probably should go buy some thicker, more varied needles. I'll have to look into it.
Thanks for the advice!

I've seen your stuff on DA!
I think I love the cookie yeti's sad face the most.
These are so cute. I can't help but think the gingerbread yetis are big buff guys!

Hi all! I'm new to Craftster (after being a long time lurker) and figured it was time to make myself known.
I found this super adorable fabric with a bunch of common French images on them. Things like the word bonjour, the Eiffel tower, baguettes, etc!

I thought it'd be cute to use an abundance of pink fabric I had, along with a row of interfacing, and make a cute little wallet.
I know the stitching is a little awkward. I think the interfacing was TOO thick for my poor machine. I broke a couple of needles trying to finish this myself. But I think it turned out cute enough!

Aw! It combines two of my favorite things. Monster and bunnies!
I just wanna cuddle it. Super cute. I like how the black makes the white and yellow pop. Some good fabric choices there. <3

Absolutely adorable! I can think of so many people who'd love to have these.
The big button eyes are what gets me.
