My daughter and I ordered Chinese take-out and watched it.  We were not disappointed at all.  We both want Berts dress!  I think I'm gonna have to get my dressform done and get sewing!

French seams are the way to go,  the finish looks so much nicer,  also make sure your using the proper needle

not a clue... If your prewashing both fabrics, they should be their true size... Are you washing and drying the fabrics in the same temp?  That could cause a problem.  Good Luck

Aislynn hope your party goes great.  I'm thinking of having a UFO party.

I will post pictures on here after the party and a review of the sewing machine.  To bad it's not a serger, that's what I really need,  Wink
9  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / House Party, Singer Sewing Machine on: April 04, 2011 09:43:32 AM
So I just found out that I was chosen to host a Singer House Party.  For those of you who don't know what House party is, it's a site where you sigh up to host parties to try new products for manufacturers, and you let them know what you and your guests think about the product.  (www.houseparty.com)  I'm looking forward to this.  I get to pick up the Singer Confidence Stylist Machine and invite my friends over for a sewing party.  Should be fun.    I'm hoping I get to host the captain Morgan House Party next  Tongue
