201  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Moose! On a saw blade! on: April 05, 2011 09:11:33 PM
Not only is your painting just epic but I give you props for painting on a saw blade. This would be a great gift but I know I would have much less then 9 fingers if I tried. Great job! Can't wait to see more

Haha I still have the use of all my fingers but there are permanent dents in my floor just from the sheer weight of this blade!

Here's a bunch more of my artwork.

That last one there is also part of my banner for my website.

There is no way that's watercolor! It's gotta be a photo! Or oils ^_^ Once again, absolutely gorgeous amazing! You are definitely becoming one of my favorite artists of all time! Your animal paintings are simply beautiful Smiley

Haha, nope! One hundred percent watercolours. And some blood, sweat and tears, this baby was hard!
204  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Feather Paintings! on: April 05, 2011 08:57:53 PM
i love the heron. beautiful work.

i would perhapse recomend framing these in a box frame. i used to have a beautiful collection of feathers i'd found on numerous walks until the moths got in there Sad

Thankyou

The frames I use are shadowboxes, but I'm not sure if these are considered "box frames"? The ones I use have a depth of up to 3 inches. They display feathers quite nicely.

:O holy crap these are gorgeous!  Hope you don't mind I'm gonna post one of these on my tumblr because i love them! Linking back to this post of course Smiley

Be my guest. All I ask is for credit, which you are giving. Smiley
And thanks a lot!!
206  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / [More] Feather Paintings! on: April 05, 2011 12:02:16 PM
Here's the rest of the feather paintings that I've done. I've got a minimum of 5 more coming in the near future!

Enjoy!
All of these are done with acrylic paints on a feather (peacock or Canadian Goose here)
207  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Stitch And BOTCH / Re: Sewing needle injuries, anybody? on: April 03, 2011 11:16:15 PM
I once successfully pinned a pattern piece and fabric to my hand.
That hurt, and I got blood all over my white-and-black fabric, which was the worst part.  Cheesy
208  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Senora Kraken on: April 03, 2011 08:09:09 PM
That has got to be the most EPIC plush thing I've ever seen. Giant squid? HELLS YES!

If I had room to have something like that I would get/make one in a second! (Mine would probably rock a tophat and a monocle or something like that, cause I'm weird  Cheesy )
209  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Moose! On a saw blade! on: April 03, 2011 07:59:56 PM
FANTASTIC job!!! At first I thought it was a sticker....then upon showing DH (he dropped his jaw at it) then I read it was painted!!! WOW impresses me even more and I drool over painting cuz I do not paint (not so artsy in that dept and I love to be swoon by others with that amazing talent....like yours....). Wow thanks so much! Huge compliment!
Thanks for showing interest in other things too, I just posted 2 more (well one's the beginning of a multi-part project) and I'll be posting more throughout the week, I just don't want to overload of posting.

Few words about this one: biggest pain in the arse ever.
But I love it so. One of my favorite watercolour pieces I've ever done. Might be my top favorite actually.
