1  SEWING IN GENERAL / Machine Embroidery: Discussion and Questions / Embroidery machine on: January 26, 2011 11:32:58 AM
So i would Like an embroidery machine, so i went down to the local machine shop, and there starter version was 1200 for the smallest hoop size. So i went online to mason, and saw that they have great prices for embroidery machines, so i was just wondering if any of you out there have purchased an embroidery machine from amazon, and what you think about it. My current sewing machine is a brother and I really like it but, honestly I'm not partial to any specific brand, as long as it is good. My price rang is probably under $1000. Thanks!
2  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / Paypal account? on: January 26, 2011 10:44:22 AM
I'm getting ready to start my own etsy store and have realized I need to get a pay pal account, then got massively confused when looking at pay pals website. What kind of an account do you have with pay pal? Personal, premier, or business?

Thanks!
3  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Quiet Book, ball themed on: January 22, 2011 05:30:21 PM
A couple weeks I got a facebook message about my nephews 2nd birthday party, and decided I wanted to make a quiet book for my nephew. But here's the catch, my nephew is OBSESSED with sports/balls, like the kid will stare at the sports section of the news paper. Whenever i tell this to people, they always question whether a two year old can really grasp the concept of sports, but I'm telling you, my nephew can, and is obsessed. And not wanting him to throw my quiet book aside instantly, I knew I had to make it ball/sports related. Well I went out and bought 2 yards of muslin, some bits and pieces of fabric, TONS of felt, button, embroidery floss, one zipper, two buttons, interfacing, snaps, and eyelets. I used shoelaces too, but husband and I received two sets of shoelaces in our stockings this year for christmas, so I was set. So after about a week and a half or working on it, here it is!
