12  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Alexander the Great....or Alexandra and her costume on: October 29, 2007 07:03:51 PM
So this Year I went as Alexander the Great (because I wanted to go as Lex Luthor but I don't look good in a bald cap)
So  I made the costume in one night out of red jersey and gold brocade. Sadly I bought my helmet and leg armor.
With Katie, the burlesque dancer.

Better shot of the helmet and Chynna, who went as Mata Hari

Best shot of the top

All of those pics are the same. I will take better pics later...

15  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Cute Pleated polka dot bag with leather straps(pic heavy) on: March 25, 2007 07:02:54 AM
Last night I had a bought of inspiration and grabbed my scissors and turned on my sewing machine and went. And this is what happened. Sadly, I made it for a friend. So I will have to part with it. The only bad thing was that I did not buy thread for it and the only thread I had was black so I kinda looks bad but hopefully no one will notice and make fun of it.

This is my first bag

Me modeling the the bag. (sorry about my room)

The pleating

The inside

Here it is again (MLK, my friend's idol)

So I made this bag from remnants at Joanne's and some purse straps that were on sale.
Total cost of project: $5.47

I made this dress as my nine weeks project in my Environmental Science Class.

I made it out of this crazy african fabric and some jersey. It isn't done yet. I still need to hem it and attach the straps and the sash around the waist.

sorry my room is so messy.

I modeled it after this antropolgie dress
