Finally got back to the 'mostly done' afghan I've been meaning to finish for my son for 5 years (shameful) and am almost done.

I want to get a couple of scarves made (for me and my sister) in a loose crochet stitch with a soft stretchy yarn (non wool).  Can anyone suggest a yarn and stitch idea for me?  I'm so rusty

I have a cousin who's very into scrapbooking and her albums are truly works of art.  What a great way to make memories into family heirlooms !  I'm ready to get started with my Christmas photos.
