Happy Birthday to all the Geminis! Hugs to you, CDEeeek; so glad you are pleased. I had a blast gathering whimsies for you!

This is such a great swap! Everyone is getting such amazing things. I'm loving those vintage photos and that wild pink-and-blue handcrafted box!

Loving the ring! My sister (also an English major!) used to have those "author" cards -- I remember being the only person who would play the game with her!  Cheesy

Great whimsies!

Oh, man! I seriously covet that charm binder. Very cool!

How lucky am I, that I already was showered with goodies sent by CDEeeek!

I have TONS of pictures to post. First, the unopened items:

There was a colorful jar with cherries on it, as well as a packet of papers. Whee!

I opened the papers first...

I loved the assortment of vintage Christmas cards and the handmade flying key card (better pic ture of that later!)

There were also lots of fun scrapbooking papers with earthbound keys and butterflies on them:

Here are the cool handmade items that CDEeeek made for me: A little matchbox (with hidden surprises -- see next pics), an owl pellet (ditto), and the flying key card I mentioned before:

Here is the fold-out owl book (and tiny little origami-type owl and owl charm) inside the matchbox. Also the innards of the pellet!

...and here is the back of the booklet and box. Very cool! LOVE it!

Here are my favorites from the other whimsies. The folk art guy's neck is a spring! Early bobble-head action!

Here's more loot! I especially love those unique bottlecaps.

Buttons galore! Some really cool ones, too:

CDEeek, you are the best! Awesome swap partner (and lightning fast!)

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Having a whimsie party over here!

Your "jar" will be coming in a while. Everything ready except a couple of other items I have in mind to make this weekend! Thanks again!

Obsessively checking to see if partners have been posted... even though I know they won't be until after midnight!  Grin

I am oooohing and aaaaahing over all the past galleries. Have already wandered the house and pawed through my various stashes to see what whimsies may be hiding there! Cannot wait!!!
269  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: OTHPT2 Gallery on: April 04, 2011 08:48:40 PM
This evening, I told my son that I was disappointed I had not yet received my OTHPT. He pulls out a box from under his coat, and says, "Oh, could THIS be it...?" That little stinker!

I tore into the package, and was delighted to see my very own TINY Gryffindor trunk!

A card from Minerva McGonagall came with my trunk. It explained that this was the jewel box of Lady Gryffindor. Legend says that the box may be presented to any worthy girl of Gryffindor House in a time of need.

With great excitement, I opened the box to reveal a seemingly endless supply of little red-tissue-wrapped treasures. (Obviously, the box must be magical, if it can hold so many things despite its tiny size!)

There was:
  • a bracelet with a lion charm,
a pin with lion and bead dangles,
    starry earrings, and
a necklace with a flying key pendant.

...All resplendent with Gryffindor colors.

I am over the moon! Have already picked out clothes to wear tomorrow, so I can show off my new jewelry!

Thanks, Jennie! You ROCK!

What great ideas! Love the love potion... would never have thought of that. And I think the redwork embroidery squares should definitely be framed. Snape is very Snape-y, too! This is so fun, seeing what everybody made!!!! Smiley

Can't wait to get my package!
