131  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Back to Hogwarts 3 Gallery on: October 01, 2012 10:36:53 PM
I have received from Eiseldora and it was jammed packed with awesome!

This is a picture of everything that I received

So, I first opened the box and found this

I also found these

it's a pair of plates, a bowl, a set of napkins, and matching cupcake liners; all of which had my favorite animal ever OWLS!

Which actually matched perfectly with the existing place mats and coasters!!!

My nieces loved these eyeballs, rats, and spiders which glow in the dark. I barely opened the box and they started running off with them.

I was amazed with these labels and plan on making the recipes, which were included (but I can't find the picture of Sad ) this week soon

As any Ravenclaw student will enjoy, a book of logic puzzles and problems

And labels for everything

These buttons are amazing! I love the little Luna with her glasses!

This is laundry and I believe bath salts (it came a smooshed and the labeling was a bit smeared off)

This is another little owl gem!

a cell phone cozy to help deliver any messages to my phone.

And amazingly enough, the giving kept on giving!

Yes, a Ravenclaw scarf to keep me warm! And yes, I have been wearing it since I coincidentally am wearing a white and blue shirt!

I loved this little note to welcome me to Hogwarts

And last, but not least, I found this to play for hours!

Yes, a Harry Potter board game! I already sent a message to my boyfriend to prepare himself for when he gets home from work.

All in all, great package from my partner! I was absolutely thrilled when I opened it! As were my nieces who were playing with all the rats, spiders, severed leg, and took the Reese's lol! I am very greatful for my partner and her attention to detail about me; seems she hit it right on the nose  Cheesy

I would like to say, this was an exciting first swap and am glad that this helped push me to make the best that I could, even when it was the first time making a few items.

Thank you all!
Great inspiration for future crafts and how to learn new skills!

And we are sent!

I hope I sent the message right to Eiseldora and Jennieingram lol. I'm trying to do this on a tablet so it's a bit harder. But, I packed and sent today so hopefully everything is good and arrives in one piece!

Well, I've had a bit of an issue, but no worries on finishing.

My boyfriend accidentally dropped coke on my large. Given the type of fabric it'd be too hard to try and fix it. I restarted it, not the same colors, but still good colors. Now, i'm about 75% done with it. I'm feel like I'm rushing now.

in other news, one of the perks of living in the southwest are cacti. I tripped and fell in a pretty nasty cactus and now i have bruises and puncture wounds on my thigh. Nothing too bad, just really sore and an hour of pain taking them out.

Hopefully sending out by the end of this week or early next before starting my new job.

Doing a quick check in.

I have finished my small and my medium. My large is going pretty well considering this is the first time that I've attempted anything like this. The colors are nice, not quite what i expected but im digging it pretty well.

I've also almost finished an extra that i planned. I'm about 85% done on that. Just one more supply and a quick together for everything in one. I'm tying not to overdo myself since this is my first swap. I want to feel accomplished not just throwing everything together.
135  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Completed Projects / DeadPool etched glass, with silver coloring on: August 29, 2012 12:24:33 PM

Sorry for the messy background!

But, I etched DeadPool and used Rub N Buff for the silver.

This is the close up of the paint, it started to run a bit when I was stenciling, but I actually managed to take most of it off when I tool the stencil off.

Hello All!

Well, this is my first craft swap and I figured I would check in with the group Smiley

I have started crafting the small, which turned out to not be as small as I originally planned. But, I love how everything is turning out.

I have an idea for the medium, but it's going to take a bit more planning and a bit of printing, which means I really need to get a new ink cartridge (I've been printing purples and blues instead of just black for months now)

The large, well, it's the first that I've attempted and I am probably going to need to make a practice first to smooth out any details or bumps.

I'm super excited and have so many ideas for all the small details!
138  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Tetris Magnets on: August 07, 2012 12:16:08 PM
This was one of the first projects I tried when I was learning how to do some needlework. Great project to learn! Thanks for the inspiration!

Mine came out a big  ....puffy (?) A little too thick on the borders, but fun to play with still.

I loved them so much, I knew I had to try them!
Granted, I am a complete novice when it comes to needlework, this was the first I had tried to do. I think they came out fine, a lot that I learned from them!
