1  Clay Cafe Mirror in Pottery, Ceramics, etc: Completed Projects by Jomu on: January 24, 2011 04:29:44 PM

This project started as a pastime with a friend and developed into a whole summer project at a paint it yourself shop!! We didn't know what we were getting into and it took us forever to come up with ideas for the tiles. We even redid some.

Some of the tiles were inspired by Ellen Degeneres(<3), others were inspired by the seasons, flowers, vines, etc, and some random ones with our nicknames on them.
It was an awesome experience with a good friend and it was amazing to see the end result(mirror inserted).

Thanks for looking.

2  Collage inspired corkboard! in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by Jomu on: January 22, 2011 06:07:57 PM
I have a pretty boring apartment where i am not able to paint,
so I had my photos and jewelry tacked up on the wall to try and add some fun to the place but it didn't end up
looking very good. So I decided to find something that would help it look more on the lines of a collage.

I bought a plain cork board and pondered ideas on what to do with it.
I decided to buy some material from walmart that was precut.

The colors and price really impressed me so I bought 5 different kinds to mix match. I used 3
different materials and stapled them onto the board. I also got some ribbon to add more decoration.

When that was done, I tacked up my photos and jewelry and I was done in no time Smiley
