1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Burger purse on: November 04, 2012 05:48:23 AM
So.. I did it!  I made a pouch for carrying my dog's treats for agility class.  Holding the burger on edge, I cut a hole out of the top large enough to get my fingers in, and a treat out.  Glued a loop and hook onto the back to hang on my belt loop, and there you were!  Don't have enough posts to be able to attach pics.. but it turned out really cute.  Thanks for the inspiration!

ooOOOooo... a tea bag purse would be really great!  (sadly, I have more use for that many tea bags than for that many condoms)   Wink

I've made several of these over the years.. from horse feed bags, bird seed, dog food.. but used the bag material as handles.  I like your grommet and rope handles better!

great job!!

So glad someone bumped this up!!  I came across this in my random wanders through the older posts.. then couldn't find it when I wanted to make it.  I bought an XL man's shirt to make this.. and it happens to be a 'tall'  so extra long as well.  this should help as I am 5'9"..  will try to post a pic if it turns out okay.   The original is waaaaay cute BTW..

BEAUTIFUL!!  and looks great on you too!!  Scarves have the most gorgeous fabrics, and are just begging to be made into something wonderful!!  Kudos on your shirring skills!, I have never tried and I have been sewing for years.. you have inspired me...
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Any Horse people out there? Recon Half Chaps on: March 15, 2011 07:00:22 AM
Great Idea!!  Half chaps are the way to go!  Are these pull-on tubes, like the sweater arms?  or do they fasten down the sides.. the photos are kinda dark on my screen, and I couldn't tell.  But I am all for re-con wool sweaters and anything horse-ish!!!
