1181  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: Objects Improved By Googley-Eyes on: April 24, 2011 01:12:41 PM
this reminds me of my favorite prank. works best when you're house sitting - but i love to put googley eyes on EVERYTHING in the fridge, from the packages, to veggies to all 12 eggs in the carton. and face everything forward so that when you open the fridge all the food is staring at you. fun, and harmless, like all good pranks! (this takes like 1000 eyes. ebay is your friend)  Roll Eyes

haha! that's awsome, I'm sooooo doing that next time I house sit for my sister, she'll freak.

So happy you liked everything. I was watching the new episode and I kept laughing everytime there was one of the cliche's from the bingo, especially since like half of them were in the first five minutes.

Bwahahahaha, those are awsome, I always see faces in everything too, I think I may have to start putting googly eyes on them now thanks to your inspiration

I'm glad someone else is as excited as me about the fact that they're actually playing it on the same day as in the UK, everyone keeps looking at me like I'm crazy when I go on about why its such a huge deal.
But did you notice? its only an hour long and that's including commercials which means that they're not showing it uncut which means we're gonna miss like 10 mins of the episode. So I'm still gonna have to torrent the episodes after they air, and ya know torture myself by watching the whole thing again so I can see the bits BBC America cut out

Been a bit since anyone posted on this thread but I'm hoping you guys are still up for it. I was actually just thinking of how awsome a Questionable Content swap would be, though I still need to complete another swap before I'm allowed to organize.

My car was involved in an accident earlier this week so I've not been doing much more outside of dealing with that. Today I had 2 failed attempts at my OTT. Undecided definitely not going as well as I would like. Will try a different way tomorrow and hope for the best!

Ew, sorry to hear that, hope you and everyone else who was in the accident are ok. But hey, look at the bright side, you can get tons of crafting in while you're on endless hold with the insurance company  Tongue

Also on a brighter note...  I just got BBC America today!  Cheesy

Yay for you! Although you should be warned that they have way too many good shows and will probably end up monopolizing your dvr  Wink
1190  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: *I* have the TARDIS on: April 21, 2011 10:16:05 PM
Sometimes I work on one project for a few days straight till its done, especially if I have a deadline, but I've become quite fond of working on a bunch of things at once. It keeps me from getting burnt out on one thing and sometimes I find I can get more things done that way. Like I can't sew while I'm watching tv because the sewing machine's too loud so while I'm watching tv I'll knit or something like that, and then after my show's over I'll switch to my sewing project and then before bed I do a little embroidery cuz my bedroom's got the best lighting.....and yes, I'm one of those people that can't sit still and always has to be doing something with my hands  Tongue
But if you do start working on multiple projects at once I'd suggest making some sort of "work in progress" organizational system. Personally what I did was get some cheap clear vinyl and make little simple pouches, you know just like cut a rectangle, fold it in half with a little at the top for a flap and sew up the sides. then each project plus supplies goes into a pouch and I hang the pouches on skirt hangers (ya know the hangers with the clippys at the bottom) and then the hangers can just get hung in the closet or on my wall (well on a peg on the wall) so it saves space too. I hope that made sense/helps.
