1141  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Doctor Who Swap round 6 (SIGNUP 4/8/11 - 4/23/11; SENDOUT 5/23/11) on: May 01, 2011 08:00:07 PM
I've started on something, but I'm not quite sure what it is. Lolz. Dunno if it'll be part of the package. I'm also starting on another thing, that may be a medium or a large.

Haha, I love starting on projects when I have no idea what they are. Some of the best things come out that way.

I realized earlier that the ____ isn't gonna work cuz its ____ ____ which stinks cuz I really loved it, but I guess it just means I'll have to make another one and keep this one for myself, oh darn it!  Wink Hopefully I have a ____ ____ in my stash.

Okay, I will make a list before I buy anything. Laundry's done, so now it's time for a game plan, complete with diagrams, headsets, and stat sheets. I got so many great ideas and they just sort of fell in my lap. Huzzah!

I just got this image of you doing a full on buisness presentation about what you're going to make, involving pie charts and overhead projectors and everything lol.

Still waiting for the last bit to be delivered.  Roll Eyes

Just wondering how your leg's doing and how you're feeling. I still can't believe you've got it in you to be crafting this whole time. After I had my ankle surgery they had me on some crazy meds and all I did was sleep. So I tip my invisible hat to you for being able to beat the pain meds and get stuff done in your forced time off.

my tiny parcel is ready to go!
super excited and nervous at the same time
still got the newbie swap anxiety  Embarrassed

Awwww, don't be nervous. I was the same way cuz this was my first swap, AND I was the first one to send out so I didn't even have anything to compare with what other people were doing, not to mention I'd never made anything like this before and was just kinda winging it the whole time. But my partner and everyone else loved what I made and I'm sure we'll all love what you made. So cheer up butter cup!

Using stash is always the best way to go.  I have supplies for this swap already, so BONUS!!!!!!

Oh yeah  YAY PARTNERS!!!!!!!!

Agreed, I love getting to use all my crap I have stashed, and lately I've been trying to challenge myself by forcing myself to come up with projects that fit what I already have on hand, its definately getting my creative side going. Plus using up my current stash makes me feel not so guilty when I have my "omg that's so cute, I don't knwo what I'm going to use it for but I NEED IT" moments  Wink

Omg I love the little outfit for the adipose, too cute! And I love that you carve your own stamps, and you're so good at it too. Stamp carving is on my list of "someday projects"
1148  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Babies name on hat on: April 29, 2011 06:13:42 PM
Wow you did a really good job! It looks awsome. Your stitches are way more even and straight than mine and I've been doing embroidery off and on since I was a kid. The hat's really adorable. Oh and I love the model  Wink
1149  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Don't blink. Blink and you're dead. **Weeping Angel** on: April 29, 2011 02:33:19 AM
Ok so I know I already fawned over this in the OTDWT gallery but I saw you posted it here and I had to tell you again how much I am insainly in love with your weeping angel.
I also went and looked through your past projects you posted and oh my god they're all amazing! You have totally inspired me to get into amigurumi.
So my question, it looks like you make up most of your own patterns, but is there a book or website you'd recomend for someone starting out doing this kind of stuff? I used to crochet when I was a kid but I only ever did flat stuff, I just don't know where to start with the amigurumi stuff. I know there's like a million websites, but I just really admire you're stuff so if there's anything you can recomend as a starting point for me it would be awsome.

I know! They sent me a message this morning saying they used my post. I was so excited. I feel all special now  Grin

After seeing hte posts here I've saved hte bingo cards to my computer so I can print them off and use them when the next show is one. When I whip them out my husband is going to be sooo amazed. He's an even bigger Who fan than me. Smiley

Awsome. I'm sure he'll love them.
