1131  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Doctor Who Swap round 6 (SIGNUP 4/8/11 - 4/23/11; SENDOUT 5/23/11) on: May 04, 2011 04:21:50 PM
i finished my medium for Willowe! *sticks tongue out and giggles in glee* the other medium is going AWESOME!! and the small is actually alot larger than i meant it to be. but hey, i got excited. crafting all things DW makes me super over-achiever-y.

on a sidenote, does anyone else find themselves cruising the internet looking for templates/inspiration/episodes for their crafts, then realize they've spent the last hour staring at David Tennant or Matt Smith? so stinking foxy. they command my full attention.

Lol. That happened to me last night! I realized I'd spend the past 2 hours looking at picture that had nothing to do with what I was looking for....then to make it worse I totally forgot what I was looking for in the first place. Glad to know I'm not the only one who does it.

I've gotten started on my big project! I still need to collect some supplies for the small project. So many ideas! Why do I only have two working arms?! If I was an octopus, I'd have a lot of crafting done!

LOL! You have no idea how often I've had that same thought.

Ugh, I'm such a dink. I work at a fabric/craft store and I was going to buy supplies on my lunch break, so what did I do? I left my wallet at home. So now I'm home and I'm getting a ride back to work to buy supplies, because I'm afraid that they'll run out of something before I go back on Friday. Grawrl.

You brave, brave soul . . .

I could NEVER work at such a store -  can you say . . .

I have my eye on a few items to claim too, but also like you, I've gotta finnish up my other swaps and its not helping that everything I try to make for them comes out a disaster. Hopefully next week I'll be able to sign up.

Totally agree Willowe, I was like "Are you freaking serious? I'm more confused now than I was in the first place." But both episodes were so beautifully done, that kinda made up for the not having any idea what was going on.

On another note......
Crapity crap crap crap! Apearantly my spell check on my computer's broke cuz I just realized a massive typo on the _____ of the ____. Now I'm trying to decide if I want to re-do it or just go a different route. I really like the idea of my original plan but I'm thinking it may end up looking a little tacky and maybe I should go a different route.
Aaaand the ____ ended up coming out all funky, a few of them might work but I don't know if enough of them look right to make it work.
Blerg.

ivoryh1632 - you've got it right!  And you have a week from the date you're accepted into the swap to make a claim and then two weeks from that date to make and send.  Smiley  Does that help?

Yes, that totally helps. Thanks! I'm definately going to sign up but I'll probably wait a bit before I do it, I need to finnish up what I'm working on for another swap first or else my head may explode with too many crafty ideas  Wink
But I'm totally excited about getting to make some birthday awsomeness for a fellow May baby.

Oh man, I almost forgot Cinco de Mayo's comming up. Unfortunately tequilla is not my friend, but luckily sangria is!
If anyone needs a recipie for a cheap, quick, decesnt-tasting sangria, let me know.

Ok so jsut trying to make sure I have evverything straight before I sign up, cuz I'm still pretty new to swapping and I've never done a list one like this before. So after filling out the questionare and getting approved, I make a list of what I want and then I pick out something from someone elses's list to make for them, right?
So then you have 2 weeks to send off whatever you make. But how long do you have to make a claim? Because I have an open slot and everything, but I'm kinda in the process of moving right now so I don't know if I'd be able to get anything done until later in the month. So should I wait to sign up until later or should I sign up now and then wait to make my claim?
