12  skull slip *with link to tutorial* in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Stina on: August 13, 2007 05:49:00 PM
i bought the cutest nightwear slip (just like this one, only in a pretty ladybug pattern instead, at topshop a few days ago and thought i'd make something similar for my friend's birthday. while i appreciate ladybugs and other girly stuff my friend does not so i decided to make her a more rock n' roll inspired one.

lookie, lookie!:

unironed, yes.

& a close up of the skull patch:

i gave it to her last weekend and she loved it, which was almost a bit of a shame because i wouldn't mind keeping it myself.

thank you for taking a look!

EDIT: i've finally made a quick tutorial. you'll find it HERE

13  my yellow purl bee beret in Knitting: Completed Projects by Stina on: May 20, 2007 02:56:00 PM
just in time for the summer i decided to make a beret. seasonal knitting is something i just can't seem to do. Roll Eyes

pattern: http://www.purlbee.com/beret-purl/
yarn: i seem to have lost the label but it was a finnish wool yarn i got in a swap with shiitake.
notes: it came out a bit big and lazy as i am i refused to frog it so i solved it by crocheting around the ribbing for a better fit.

14  Re: Ongoing Offer What You Have (Crafts/Supplies) Swap - March in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by Stina on: March 15, 2007 05:09:45 AM
i claim shiitake for totebag made of childrens pillowsheet   14 x 11. this is my first claim this round.

and here's what i have to offer:

* knitted tank. it's very stetchy and would fit anything from a xtra small to perhaps even a large.

on me and on the floor:

* loop-d-loop's aviator hat in light brown. i somehow made it smaller than it's supposed to be so this would suit a child or someone VERY small headed.

on me and on the floor:

* 3 skeins of moda dea eden, colour 5885 paradise.

feel free to choose two or more:

* pink no sew shrug from reconstructed jumper. size small

* embroidery fabric (what is it really called?). 45 cm x 65 cm + an extra small piece. as i think you can see by the close up with my fingers as something to compare to, the squares are quite big, 4 mm x 4 mm to be exact.

* bag o' plastic beads, glitter and surprises

* one skein of super soft baby blue "mohair look" acrylic yarn. it's not a whole skein unfortunately, the lable says 100 g and 230 m,  but when weighted it's only 60 g.

18  Re: Skeleton/Bones/Skull Swap I Gallery (Send outs Septmeber 23rd) in The Swap Gallery by Stina on: October 25, 2006 12:33:24 AM
as clayfaery hasn't posted pictures of the stuff i sent her yet i thought i'd share them myself. clay, please post your own if/when you're up to it!

i think it's pretty obvious what everything is but anyway, i sent her a scull cross stitched pin, a scull and crossbone necklaces, a mix cd with skeleton tunes and a headband (is that the name?) to keep her ears warm on chilly days.

20  Re: Swedish Swap Gallery summer -06 in The Swap Gallery by Stina on: August 14, 2006 03:36:59 PM
look what i got from the ever so lovely klara.detroit:

a chevy chase tshirt, a pucca necklace, a purse and two yummy lip balms.

and an action shot:

please excuse the pile of dirty laundry and other random crap in view. instead look at how happy i am wearing all these lovely things. i've caught some sort of flu, or just a really bad cold, and receiving the chevy chase tshirt in the mail today was a true "jesus put his hand on the crippled and they walked" sort of moment, it was just impossible to dwell in my own self pity anymore.

thanks a bunch hanna! i love everything to death.
