4  hiphopopotamus cross stitch in Needlework: Completed Projects by feelingabitstitchy on: February 20, 2011 03:04:10 PM
for my mom's birthday this year i finally got around to finishing an embroidery that i started a while ago. she is  completely obsessed with the flight of the conchords so i stitched up this little spoof on "hiphopopotamus vs. rhymenoceros" for her.

the paper outlining the stitching looks a little less wrinkly in person, but I'm not really sure how to take a picture of something behind glass without it getting distorted.

hope you like it!

5  flower headbands (pic chubby)! in Crochet: Completed Projects by feelingabitstitchy on: February 20, 2011 01:33:40 PM
These are a few of my older crochet projects. the headbands are all adult sized and were pretty quick to work up.
The snood is green wool and holds my long hair back really well. the ribbon makes it adjustable and its a lot more comfy than the elastic some of my other snoods have.

sorry about the huge pictures!  I wasn't really sure how to make them smaller!

6  dandy little dandelion in Needlework: Completed Projects by feelingabitstitchy on: February 03, 2011 04:46:57 PM
SO... I guess this is my first real post after lurking for a bit.Lately I've been a bit obsessed with dandelions so I stitched this little project.

It's about 7 by 4 inches and the color is way less orange in person, the border is actually bright purple and black.
The problem is, I don't know what to do with it. Do I frame it or make a little pillow? Thoughts? Thanks!

.........

So here's the finished project, I attached a pretty blue cotton on the back and stuffed it like a pillow and than put a ribbon on the back. it's now hanging on my bedpost and I'm so glad that I finally finished it! thanks for all the advice guys! Smiley

The colors are definitely a lot more accurate in this picture.
