I received two of mine last night!

I had asked for "monsters" and Smmarrt made me this little fella!

He came with a note saying "Meet Forrest Stump - Woodland monster. Whacks little bunnies with a tree limb and then eats them raw!"

Vanillyz also made me an amazing Ron Weasley and included a card she made!

Thanks so much both of y'all!  They're wonderful!

I'm also really glad Smmarrt and southern flower liked theirs and thanks for all the complements!  I had fun making them.  Smiley

3  Octovampy! in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by level50nerd on: March 15, 2011 06:44:00 AM
I made this for a friend who saw my other monsters and wanted one.  I used the Cute Octopus pattern posted by thecuteoctopus.  Since she wanted a monster I added some bat wings and ears.  Also, the eyebrows and ears are meant to be the number "37" as a reference to a scene from the movie Clerks that my friend and I joke about a lot.

4  Needle felted gnome in Felting: Completed Projects by level50nerd on: February 22, 2011 07:55:10 AM
This was my first attempt at needle felting.  I took a class over the weekend and we were basically given free reign to make whatever we wanted.  The class provided several hundred colors of fiber and all the materials.  I really liked that with needle felting you can undo mistakes.  It's also kind of like working with clay and painting at the same time.

5  My first monsters (plush) in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by level50nerd on: February 18, 2011 06:52:41 AM
So these are my first attempts at making monsters.  They've really been my main focus for the past couple of weeks.  I've been sketching tons of them and am having fun with it.
