34  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Everything's coming up zombie! on: March 01, 2011 04:26:26 PM
You know, I've always wondered why Zombies always pushed their hands up first. Why was it never a head or a foot?

I always figured they needed to dig their way out with their hands.
35  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Everything's coming up zombie! on: March 01, 2011 03:44:13 PM
Initially, this started out to be a regular zombie piece, but I wanted to make it a little more... Spring.

Also, I was going to do the grass in actual Easter grass, but oddly enough, that's not so easy to embroidery with - who knew?

40  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Squid-topus on: February 23, 2011 10:42:52 AM
This little guy started out as an octopus, but I think he ended up looking more like a squid. I made him with needle and wet felting - and his legs have pipe cleaners so he's semi-posable.

And my little bit of recycling? The eyes - they are leftover eyechips from a Blythe doll

It took me a couple of days to get this done because I had to keep him away from my cat who thinks this is the most delicious thing on the face of the planet
