Oh dear! The time passed so quickly.  I meant to have my Potions OWL done by now but other projects got in the way. I'm currently in the process of resizing some of the squares and connecting them together so I should have it done by the end of this week. In the meantime, here's a WIP photo of it with the squares lined in their rows.

Project Name: House Scarves
Project Page Link (if available):
Brief Description: What an order this was, for scarves representing three of the four houses, only one not represented is Hufflepuff. The Gryffindor and Ravenclaw scarves were each made with Red Heart Team Spirit yarn which saved time in working them up due to not having to change between the colors myself as the changes happened naturally in the yarns. Granted because of that, the changes transition at different points which adds a certain charm. The Slytherin one, however, I did have to change between the colors myself, but rather than constantly snip the yarn and re-add it, I would just slip stitch it up til it was where I needed. Which is why at each color, the opposite is seen along the edge.

Project Name: Fingerless gloves
Project Page Link (if available):
Brief Description: Since I've been outside a lot this winter season and I already had a Slytherin colored ear warmer and scarf, I figured I'd complete it by making myself a pair of fingerless gloves. Worked them completely without a pattern and granted one is a little bigger than the other, but I'm proud of my first attempt at fingerless gloves anyway. I also switched the way the colors alternate on the two so really they complete each other's pattern. And also, I found out after I had already taken the photo and put them away that one of them was upside down but oh well.

Project Name: Trick or Treat/Doctor's bag
Project Page Link (if available):
Brief Description: Everyone knows that a bag is needed to carry all the treats from trick or treating on Halloween and my four year old little witch is no exception. But rather than buying her one or just giving her a regular plastic bag to use, I crocheted her one. Done up in the colors of her favorite cartoon doctor, Doc McStuffins; doctor for stuffed animals and toys (and coincidentally what she'll be for Halloween), it'll be perfect for carrying all the treats she's sure to get. And it'll double as a doctor's bag after the holiday for her doctor tools while she tends to her own stuffed animals and toys. On the side is a little pocket for her favorite plush lamb, Lambie, from the show itself.

Brief Description: I was given an infinity scarf in my house colors last year before the big snow. Knowing a cold winter is due again this year, I waved my wand and made up this little ear warmer to match my scarf

Project Name: He's a Phantom
Project Page Link (if available):
Brief Description: This was something I started a while back. But he's been just as annoying as Peeves if not to the same level. Or at least his hair was. Good thing too for the half-ghost hero of Amity Park, Danny Phantom. Finally I took charge and got his hair in place and finished him off today, even trying something new like embroidering his "DP" logo on his suit rather than cutting and pasting one.

Project Name: Swap Squares
Project Page Link (if available):
Brief Description: So, I'm in a crochet group on facebook and it was suggested to do a granny square swap. We each had to make 30 squares; 1 for ourselves and 29 to send out to the others. And so everyone would know which square was made by which person, the 30 squares had to use the same granny square pattern even if the colors used weren't the same. and so, here are mine. Though by the time I snapped the picture, I'd already gone to mail out 12 and put aside the one for myself.

Okay here is my April Goodie submission: A case for my drawing tablet in the light blue of Sailor Mercury's bows. I'm still considering extra details for it like embroidering her planetary symbol on it.

And extra bit of news, the themes of April are running into this month so to give extra time. Though I doubt I'll be getting a baddie project done this time with other things I have to work on.

Project Name: A Mother's Job
Project Page Link (if available):
Brief Description: Most mothers know how messy their little ones can be and my little one is no exception. So, taking advantage of her being in daycare for the day, I took to the task of cleaning her room. Mind you it is quite a small room but it did take hours due to all the pieces of paper (or book pages) I had to toss, clothing I had to put away and toys to arrange along with plugging some openings at the bottom of one of the walls to keep out unwanted rodent visitors. (No cat familiar here sadly). Also had to sweep and mop her floor, (those darn rodents) and exchange her sheet for a brand new one. But it was well worth it.

(That's a balloon still intact from her birthday last year that she likes to play with hiding under her bed. The string allows for her to pull it back to her if she accidentally knocks it out.)

Project Name: Drawing Tablet Case
Project Page Link (if available):
Brief Description: Although I have yet to submit any drawings for projects yet, I do have a drawing tablet which I use when drawing digitally and keep it close to my laptop when not in use. However, since it's black, it tends to blend in with the spot it rests in and catches dust quite easily. With that in mind, I decided to craft a case for it in a color that was sure to stand out in its resting spot. ((Do ignore the red project showing in the bottom of the picture. That is something else I was working on at the time I snapped the picture.)
