1  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Which one to get?! A beginner's dilemma... on: June 21, 2012 01:25:15 PM
I'm looking at 3 (used) sewing machines on craigslist and I'm not sure which one would be the best fit for me. I've never used a sewing machine before and I'm going to be using it to make clothes. Since I've never used one, I don't think it'd be all that beneficial for me to "test out" the machine when I go to look at them since I wouldn't know what I was doing. Two of the machines I'm looking at are Kenmores, 158.1792183 and the other is either a 385.11608 or 385.12014 (the manual they posted a picture of has both numbers but doesn't specify which one the machine is). The third is a BabyLock DenimPro 1750. Does anyone know anything about these machines? Specifically the two Kenmores because a google search brought up nothing except manual sellers and repair shops.
2  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Babylock Pro Lite BL2000? on: January 09, 2011 04:20:36 PM
Hi! I was on Craigslist looking to buy a sewing machine and I saw a listing for a BabyLock Pro Lite BL 2000. I googled it to find out more information, but strangely enough, nothing came up. Can anyone provide information for me about it? Is it a good machine? Thanks!
