91  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / penguin diorama on: August 08, 2005 03:58:55 PM
I have this great little bobble-head penguin that lives in my car. FuzzBob NoPants. See:

I hope you can see anyway.

I love him. The only problem - he is lonely. I would love to make a little beach diorama for him. I have a straw hat and little palm trees already. My question for anyone interested - How do I get the look of sand and surf without actual sand and water in my car?

Thanks,
Suzie Penguin
92  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Projects from "Last Minute Knitted Gifts" on: July 25, 2005 08:58:38 PM
Now this is the kind of knitting I can get into. I usually only get a few mintues a day to knit, so anything that works up fast is great.

Shocked Wow! That's amazing. Is that what a snail's head really looks like? I've never seen one up close I guess. I love to glaze you used for the shell.

96  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Re: yarn store baby! on: May 16, 2005 07:39:58 AM
I love 'string theory'. That one is great, it could be a combination yarn store/quantum physics bookstore! (Sorry, librarian here with a knitting problem and a brother who loves quantum physics...)

I've always dreamed of having a yarn store and naming it "The Happy Llama". I've even drawn the little llama mascot.

Anyway, soo silly.

Wow. I just lost my nice leather case for my Dell digital jukebox.  Cry, but on the bright side, now I get to knit a new one for it! Happiness! I also love the SquiPod. I am obessed with penguins. Maybe I can figure out a way to knit the penguin body for the holder and have the head and little beak as the flap.... and the ideas just flow to me when I'm on this site!!!

Thanks for the inspiration everyone!
