These are amazing. They will be family heirlooms in the years to come.
2  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Re: Pegboard of awesomeness on: August 24, 2012 07:24:26 AM
Jenn - I'm thinking of an update pic, since I've gotten the new sewing area done. (And this post has been viewed over 2,000 times! Hi everybody! Hope I've been able to inspire some of you to get organized!)

This is a push to get you to upload pics of your new sewing area, and to show what you did with my old pegboard. ::push, push::
3  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Penguin - first embroidery project on: August 03, 2012 10:31:36 AM
He's great! As you can see from my name I love penguins. This little guy has such personality, just like real penguins. Your stitches look much better than my first embroidery stitches did. Great job and keep it up. Glad to have another penguin fan on craftster.
4  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / needlefelted Jungle Animal Mobile for my nephew on: May 22, 2012 06:22:36 PM
I made this mobile for my brand new nephew. His parents decided to paint his room in greens, orange, and peach. And his mother hung up some wire and nylon dragonflies and butterflies. So I had to include those animals, even if they aren't usually considered jungle animals.

I made the giraffe and butterfly from the great book Wool Pets by Laurie Sharp. The dragonfly I found on her website of the same name. The elephant, who is my favorite, I made without a pattern, all by myself. He's got the cutest little mouth! The mobile itself I got off craiglists for only $5! So the whole thing only cost me about $20, and would have been a lot less if I could have stopped myself from throwing more animals on at the top. They're those little velcro handed things that hang on pencils and whatnots.

forgot the flash! oops.

Thanks for looking! Go make something!

Hey Jenn...I still have that pegboard I had up in the other bedroom that was between the closets. You want it? It would go well over your new beading desk, and you could hang all your tools up. And you could put shelving up on it like I did up top to hold your bead boxes. Think about it. 'Cause it's doing nothing right now but sitting in my closet taking up space.
6  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Nerdfighter Cake! on: May 19, 2012 09:25:56 AM
You shall have it my Jennba! Hopefully neither of us will run afoul of tiny chicken disease around then and can fully celebrate.
7  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Re: postcard collage love in many forms on: May 19, 2012 09:23:28 AM
Thanks. And it takes as much time as you're willing to give it. I like to do things like these under a time limit. I think for this one I gave myself an hour and a half. Make structure where there is none. We're both good at that I think.
8  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / Re: Sparky's Hot Head on: May 19, 2012 09:12:11 AM
Thanks! He does love it, still wears it, and still tells people his sister made it for him. Smiley I've got white and pink tissue paper stuffed up in my glass head now (so it looks like she has a brain! lol.) She's the thing sitting on top of the bookshelf with the light with no shade behind her, so when I turn on the light it looks like she's had a really good idea.
9  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: scarves for me on: May 19, 2012 09:09:24 AM
Jenn! Look how tiny I was back then! Wah! Anyway, yes there really isn't a need for scarves down here, but I've still got a ton of the green ribbon yarn left if you want one of these scarves. wink wink.
10  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Re: Her and me make 3 collage on: May 19, 2012 09:07:28 AM
These I glue-sticked to some cardboard I had lying around. But yeah, just play like you're editing a newspaper, move all the things around until you get them looking pleasing to the eye, then glue down. I wrapped these in clear storage tape as a laminate. I'll start collecting magazines again and we can have a collaging party one of these days.
