1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / A few reconned shirts... on: January 17, 2012 11:22:36 PM
I don't usually post about my creations on here but I'm taking pictures for my blog so I figured I'd post some pictures here as well. The reason I don't usually post is because I don't often take pictures of my stuff. lol

Here's two of my recent recon shirts. Smiley

Maybe I'll post some tshirt scarves next...I have made a ton of them (probably between 10 and 15) and gave a few for Christmas presents.
2  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / How much would you pay for these? on: November 17, 2011 02:24:36 PM
I'm just curious how much you would spend on something like this...

There's satin lining, zipper closures, handsewn detailing on the outside. Denim heart pocket on the inside.

3  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / How Much Variety? on: September 22, 2011 02:48:21 AM
So I know a larger variety of stuff brings a larger market to your store but I was wondering what kind of variety do you have??

I sew womens clothing. And that's it. I do mainly shirts and plan on doing a few skirts and dresses and purses. But I want to have a few other kinds of things just to draw in other people like some cute, basic headbands or scarves or something.

What all do you have in your store?
4  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Don't know what to do... on: April 09, 2011 01:48:38 PM
So I plan on opening a store on Etsy or Artfire (or wherever) sometime for my clothing and I want it to be CeeJayRose and then on my business cards it will say:
CeeJayRose
Clothing and Designs

And now for photography I was thinking before of just going with CeeJay Photography. I kind of like to keep it all the same. And before I wanted to do CeeJayDesigns for my clothing (but when searched on Etsy and Artfire it was already taken) so now that CeeJayRose isn't really specificed what it is I was thinking maybe I could go by CeeJayRose Photography....

So the question is...
CeeJay Photography
OR
CeeJayRose Photography?
5  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Recommend a Serger for me, please. :D on: February 26, 2011 11:03:43 AM
So I hope to be investing in a good serger in the next year and I have no idea what to look for. I've never even used a serger before. I just want something basic to finish off seams. I don't care about any of the fancy finishes or whatever.

I just want some ideas of which ones are better than others or what kinds of things to look for.

Thanks.
6  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Start as hobby or business? on: February 15, 2011 03:30:20 PM
For the sellers...

Did you start it as a hobby or did you start it as a business?? If it started as a hobby (and later turned it into a business) when did you turn it into a business? And what steps did you take to turn it into a business?
7  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Artfire - 45 Day Guide on: February 15, 2011 03:27:47 PM
I just saw the 45 Day Guide on Artfire and it looks interesting. Did anybody follow that when they started using Artfire? How did you like it?

ETA: http://www.artfire.com/users/45dayguide/blog There's the link which I forgot to add before. Smiley
8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / How often do you use patterns?? on: February 12, 2011 01:02:26 PM
And I mean store bought patterns OR patterns you've made yourself.

I never used to use any type of pattern, but then I started making my own and have been using them a lot more. I've noticed when it's stretchy material I don't use any pattern at all. Just the idea and then tailor it as I go to fit. But since I've had to start using non-stretchy materials I've been using more patterns.

So I was just curious about everybody else.
9  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Hair Degreaser? on: February 12, 2011 10:07:16 AM
My roots get greasy pretty quick and I already do use baby powder/cocoa powder to help...but is there anything else? Or some sort of spray that would help? I know I had bought this spray by Mark and it was called "Next Day Spray" or something and was supposed to help with that and it worked really nicely for a while, but then stopped.

So is there anything I can MAKE to help degreasify my roots?
10  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Information on Business Card?? on: January 28, 2011 06:30:05 PM
I'm just looking at designs for the future and they have all these lines you can put and I honestly really don't have that much to put on them...

So I was just curious what information everybody else puts on them.
