1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Summer Time Dress! on: June 06, 2007 06:07:44 AM
Super retro look! I would have taken off the sleeves as well - too cutesy. Fabulous job.
2  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: Solid conditioner on: May 20, 2007 07:33:47 AM
I made a really easy olive oil conditioner. It's Olive oil, beeswax - melt in double boiler as though you are making lip balm. Let it cool.  Pour into a tin - and there you go. Use a little bit - like pomade - and use it on wet hair. Other wise your hair can get too greasy. I have super thin hair and this never weighed it down.
I put 6 drops of rosemary EO into it - for a little extra shine.
Hope this helps.
3  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Discussion and Questions / Re: White Trash Bash 07' on: May 15, 2007 05:59:21 PM
Nothing screams white trash like upholstered furniture on the porch and a car up on blocks. Also try serving drinks out of mason jars.
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: footless tights???????? on: December 31, 2006 04:11:02 AM
I made a pair for my sister last year. I took regular tights, cut the foot off, and the hand sewed stretchy lace around the cut lines. She said they held up just fine. I got the lace from my local WalMart.Hope this helps.

Amazing - simply amazing. If you have a pattern available - please share! I know DH wouldn't question my LYS purchases if I maded a par of those . Although I might question how my big old butt would look in them - LOL.

I think fire engine red is an orange toned red and candy apple red is a pink toned red.
7  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: My Tank and an OSW - several pics - edited to include a very rough pattern on: May 20, 2006 05:08:13 AM
Thank you for the pattern. I think it's easy to follow and not rough at all.

Pattern please! I'm also a no-booby kinda gal and that looks great!! Also, I like the crocheted chain better - but there's no reason why you can't swap between chain and ribbon.
9  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Hand made patches(Skull'n'cross bone&eye) on: May 02, 2006 04:57:58 AM
Please - a tut! I have a couple pair of so soft and worn in levi's that are getting holey.
BTW - I agree. I don't want to wear something that has a huge logo or tells the world I'm a "spoiled ho",
no matter how trendy it is - lol.

Ah the 80s. A perfect example of why fashion should always be a statement and never a question. LOL
