1  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Completed Projects / Bye Bye Birdie - Image heavy on: May 23, 2011 03:53:49 AM
Just finished a swap with found/recycled wind chimes.  So fun!! You should check out the whole gallery, http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=379325.0;all.  The bird cage was a "found item", the bamboo rods were originally a table runner that had been left out in the rain and the twine had to be thrown away.  The bamboo worked out great and sounded really nice.

Thanks for looking!
2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Elvis Album Purse on: May 23, 2011 03:38:15 AM
I made this a little while ago for a newbie swap, but just now posting.  I found the purple fabric first, and then couldn't stop until I found some Elvis vinyl.  I have this one completed and another half way done.  This was the first record purse I made, so it's not perfect, but I was pretty happy with it, and my swap partner seemed to like it.

Thanks for taking a look!

I don't have a very good pic of the handles, they are braided pleather.
3  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Shark!!! on: January 31, 2011 11:30:11 PM
I made these shark mittens for my nephew for Christmas.  I started with the idea of embelishing premade mittens (ala Martha Stewart Monster Mittens on her web site), but decided to make my own from scratch.  I made them more like puppets instead of traditional mittens.  I had a lot of fun making them and he seemed to enjoy them.  My sister-in-law said he wore them to school the next day.

4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Autumn Leaf Felted Scarf on: January 05, 2011 11:12:57 PM
I was inspired by the previous post, Autumn Leaf Felted Scarf, and decided to try it for myself.

I didn't have cookie cutters so I used clipart off the internet and used brown fleece for the back.   The "sketching" was a lot of work, but I think it turned out really nice.  I think it would make a nice table runner too.
